About Us
We take pride in the high level of service and care we provide for our customer's quilts. We do everything possible to make your quilt top into a quilt you can be proud of! We treat your quilt as if it were our own.A quick update: Our daughter, son-in-law and grand kids moved from Arvada, Colorado to Gretna, Nebraska in 2020. So in July 2022, after quilting for 14 years in Arvada, we moved ourselves and our quilting business to Ashland, Nebraska to be closer to them. The fact that our loyal Colorado quilters began shipping us their quilts immediately after our move (about 50 quilts a month right now) is evidence of the high quailty and personal service we provide.
On with our story:
Born in Paxton, Nebraska I guess I was blessed with the "crafty genes" so common in small farming communities. I have been involved in seamstress work my entire life. It seems me and my trusty sewing machine are always on call for last minute alterations and adjustments for any special occasion dress or outfit! I've made more bridesmaids, flower girl, and prom dresses over the years than I can count, not to mention clothes for my children.
Our longarm quilting business started in 2007 when my daughter gave me a "quilting class" for my birthday. After a few weeks I came home and told my husband that I needed a new sewing machine for quilting. He began researching sewing machines that were good for quilting (he had no idea the uncharted territory he was entering). The name that kept popping up was "Gammill" so he called the company and talked to the president to find out more. Always the entrepreneurs, we decided to purchase a Gammill Optimum with a Statler Stitcher in early 2008. We waited a month for delivery and then another month or so learning the basics. We then began finishing quilts for others and the rest is history.
Existing loyal customers and their referrals make up over 90% of our business. We have delivered over 750 free quilts through our customer loyalty program (6th quilt loyalty program). All work is performed in a smoke free environment.
